Aftercare & FAQ

Make your set last

A little care goes a long way. Follow these steps and your lashes stay full between fills.

Lash aftercare

  1. Keep them dry for 24 hours

No water, steam, saunas or sweaty workouts for the first day while the adhesive fully cures.

  2. Skip oil near your eyes

Oil breaks down the bond. Use oil-free cleanser, makeup remover and eye cream.

  3. Wash them every day

Use a lash-safe foam cleanser and a soft brush, then rinse. Clean lashes last longer.

  4. Brush them gently

Comb through with a clean spoolie once they're dry, every morning.

  5. Hands off

No rubbing, pulling or picking. Pulling extensions takes natural lashes with them.

  6. No mascara or lash curlers

You won't need them, and both can damage your extensions.

  7. Sleep on your back if you can

A silk pillowcase helps if you're a side or stomach sleeper.

  8. Book your fill

Every 2 to 3 weeks keeps your set looking full.

FAQ

Questions, answered

How often do I need a fill?

Every 2 to 3 weeks. You naturally shed a few lashes every day, so fills keep your set full. To count as a fill, at least 40% of your extensions need to still be in place; otherwise it's booked as a full set. A 3-week fill is $10 more than a 2-week fill.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Come with clean lashes: no makeup or oil, including mascara and oily skin products. Skip caffeine if it makes you twitchy, use the restroom before we start, and plan to lie still with your eyes closed for up to two and a half hours. Many clients nap.

What is your cancellation policy?

A $20 deposit is required to book. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. If you cancel with less notice or don't show up, the deposit is kept. If you're more than 10 minutes late, your appointment may be shortened or rescheduled.

Do you do mobile appointments?

Yes. I can come to you for a travel fee: +$10 within 10 miles, +$20 for 11–20 miles, +$30 for 21–30 miles, and message me for anything farther. I bring my own lash bed and chair; you just need a clean, spacious area with room for me to set up.

Do lash extensions damage natural lashes?

Not when they're applied and cared for properly. Each extension is matched to the strength of your natural lash and isolated so lashes grow out freely.

How long does a full set take?

About 2 hours for classic and 2.5 to 3 hours for hybrid or volume. Wet sets take about 2 hours, and fills about an hour and a half.

Can I wear extensions if I have sensitive eyes?

Often, yes. Tell us about any allergies or sensitivities when you book and we'll talk through options, including a patch test.
